The Shelby County community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 16-year-old William James “James” Clowdus, who tragically died following a devastating multi-vehicle crash on Alabama Highway 119 near Hoover on Sunday afternoon. Following the impact, the Honda left the roadway, striking a fence and a nearby greenhouse.

A 14-year-old passenger traveling with him was injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Michael Rice and his passenger, 67-year-old Dawn M. Rice, were also hospitalized following the collision.
