The Reading community is mourning the tragic loss of Muhammad Noor Majid Butt, who died following a stabbing in Lower Earley, Berkshire, on Saturday, May 23. His death has left family, friends, and loved ones heartbroken as authorities continue an active murder investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
According to Thames Valley Police, emergency services were called to an alleyway between Cutbush Lane and Gipsy Lane in Lower Earley at approximately 4:25 p.m., where Muhammad Butt, 20, was found seriously injured. Despite emergency efforts, he tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Following formal identification, police confirmed the victim as Muhammad Noor Majid Butt of Reading. Specially trained family liaison officers continue supporting his loved ones during this devastating time.

A previously arrested teenage suspect from Reading was also released on bail pending further inquiries.
