Michael Valgren suffered a devastating crash during the 2022 edition of the Route d’Occitanie, resulting in multiple severe injuries that forced him into a lengthy recovery and rehabilitation process. The accident occurred during a downhill section of the race in France, where Valgren reportedly lost control before leaving the roadway and falling down a steep embankment.
