Emergency crews quickly launched suppression operations as windy weather and dry vegetation increased the risk of the blaze spreading toward nearby neighborhoods, canyon roads, and surrounding communities. Residents reported seeing thick smoke in the area while helicopters, fire engines, and additional emergency units responded to assist with containment efforts.
