Justin Tyler Wojtkowski, 40, of Morris, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from injuries sustained in a tragic accident in LaSalle. His unexpected passing has left family, friends, coworkers, and all who knew him mourning the loss of a man remembered for his warmth, humor, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
Born on November 1, 1985, in Evergreen Park, Justin was the beloved son of Edward and Janet (Sinkauskas) Wojtkowski. He spent his early years in Crestwood before moving to Plainfield with his family in 1995. There, he built lifelong friendships and became known for his outgoing personality and ability to make people laugh wherever he went.
Justin graduated from Plainfield South High School with the Class of 2004 and later attended Joliet Junior College, where he studied Industrial Mechanical Maintenance.
A proud veteran, Justin honorably served in the United States Army. During his military service, he earned numerous commendations, including the Iraq Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. His service reflected the dedication, strength, and reliability that would continue to define his life long after leaving the military.
Following his Army service, Justin worked as a Field Mechanic for Exxon Mobil, where he was respected for his mechanical expertise, strong work ethic, and willingness to help others.
Above all else, Justin cherished being a father. He shared a special bond with his daughter, Marley Wojtkowski of Morris, who was the center of his world. Friends and loved ones remember Justin as caring, funny, dependable, and full of life — someone who could brighten even the darkest day with a smile or joke.
Justin is survived by his daughter, Marley; his mother, Janet Wojtkowski; his brothers, Joshua (Lauren) Wojtkowski and Jason (Jenna) Wojtkowski; his nephew, Jack Wojtkowski; and his niece, London Archey.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Wojtkowski; his maternal grandfather, Joseph Sinkauskas; and his paternal grandparents, Robert and Irene Wojtkowski.
Family and friends will gather to honor Justin’s life on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until the Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Justin’s memory to Disabled American Veterans.
Justin Tyler Wojtkowski will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his service, his laughter, and the love he gave so freely to family and friends.
