The Dover and Clayton communities are mourning the loss of 22-year-old Emmanuel Farmer, who died Monday evening following a motorcycle crash involving a Jeep Wrangler at the intersection of North DuPont Highway and Lepore Drive in Dover, Delaware.
According to the Dover Police Department, the collision occurred around 8 p.m. when a Jeep Wrangler attempted to make a left turn onto Lepore Drive while facing a flashing red arrow. Investigators said the vehicle entered the path of a southbound Yamaha R1 motorcycle operated by Farmer, causing the motorcycle to strike the passenger side of the Jeep.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and transported Farmer to a nearby hospital with severe injuries. Despite lifesaving efforts by medical personnel, he later died from injuries sustained in the crash.
